Dear Teachers,
We have been running Gastronomy competitions since 2003 and have tried to ensure the competition categories, guidelines and our website provide comprehensive assistance to the participating schools, teachers and students. We initially worked with the wonderful folk at SA DETE Curriculum Development and the Home Economics Institue of Aust in order to ensure the content provides ample opportunity for you to work with your students within a specific key learning area or across multiple learnings.
We intend to eventually document the various curriculum links to the formal frameworks of each individual Australian State. If any of you require the Competition elements to be supported by a Unit of Work documentation, please let us know.
We hope you will encourage your school or individual students to participate. We know the ones who do really seem to have a good time and appreciate the chance to get their work published on-line.
